Meet the Team
I am Dr. Klocke, grew up on a farm outside of Tappen, North Dakota. I graduated from high school there (with a class of 9 people!), got my undergraduate degree from North Dakota State University, graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry, and finished my education at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. I discovered Decorah and joined the practice in July 2011, and love it! I enjoy connecting with patients and getting to know them and their family over time. When I’m not taking care of eyes, I can usually be found with my husband and two kids enjoying life out in the country. I enjoy getting outdoors to do some hiking, hunting, or whipping up some baked goods in the kitchen as well. One fun fact…I love to mow grass and take pride in mowing straight lines!
Hi! My name is Brad Schwartz. I was born in Northern California, the son of an Air Force pilot and have lived all across the United States. After four years of college at Wartburg College and four years of graduate school at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, my wife and I decided what better place to raise a family and provide eye care than Northeast Iowa. Decorah has been a perfect fit for 27 years. I love Decorah because we are a community of “family”. I have enjoyed watching my patients grow and learn and in some cases become staff for us here at Oneota Valley Family Eye Care! It is satisfying to know that I have been able to help others in our community preserve their vision for a lifetime. That’s our motto! When I am not seeing patients, I love to hang with family (including our dogs) or go for walks or runs, read, camp or fish. Some odd hobbies I have are saltwater reef keeping and brewing beer. Rumor has it that I was a bass player in the rock and roll band ‘Redline’. True fact. The band still exists. Google it!
My name is Laura. I started working here in 1997 and even after this many years I still love it. My favorite part of my job are the people both the patients and my co-workers. I enjoy talking to the patients and helping them in any way I can. If you need your glasses adjusted, if you need a better understanding of your prescription, if you want to pick out new frames or just want to talk just stop on in. I am originally from the big town of St. Lucas but have been a resident of the Fort Atkinson area since 1988 when I married my husband Steve. We both went to Turkey Valley High School where my children also attend. I am a proud mother of four children, Nicole, Ryan, Emily and Carson. We are avid sports fans so if I’m not at work I’m either watching my children participate in football, volleyball, basketball, track, golf, baseball or softball. We love it, win or lose (of course winning is always easier to take)
My name is Renee and I’m from the Canton, Minnesota area. I graduated from North Winneshiek and attended Hamilton Business College in Cedar Rapids. I graduated with a Travel and Tourism degree. I have been at Oneota Valley Family Eye Care for 17 years. My job is to edge lenses for our patient’s frame. In my free time I love to go biking. We love the Decorah bike trail and also like to travel to other areas to ride new trails
